This Maremma Toscana IGT is a wine in which the potential of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and the elegance of Sangiovese blend together to create an innovative product, yet intimately tied to the territory of origin.
Variety: Sangiovese 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Merlot 40%.
Altitude: 150 – 180 meters above sea level
Vineyard exposure: mainly south-east
Soil type: sandy soil with a skeleton of sandstone, the ground is rather homogeneous
Growing system: spur pruned cordon
Plant density: 5680 plants/ha
Yeld /hectare: 9 t
Harvest: It takes place in three different moments in a period between mid-September and late October.
Vinification: Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (maximum 30 ° C). The malolactic fermentation takes place in the very same tanks and, after the filtration process, the wine is put on the market in June following the harvest.
This wine shows a ruby red color, an intense and elegant aroma with hints of red berry fruit and a soft, full and round flavor.
